Laughing Gas sets special shows on March 22 and 29.
Laughing Gas Comedy Improv Theatre Company has scheduled two special "themed"" shows on March 22 and March 29 at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street in Miami Lakes.
On March 22, Laughing Gas presents "Less Miserable - More Comedy" in honor of Andrew Lloyd Webber's birthday. Performances will be at 9 and 11 pm.
On March 29, the improve theatre presents "Comedy in Bulk" in honor of what would be the 90th birthday of the man who started a bulk buying frenzy in the country, Sam Walton. Anyone who presents a valid Sam's Club card, or says they are getting their "comedy in bulk" at the door gets tickets 2-for-1. All that, and the comedy isn't being outsourced.
"We all enjoy cheap socks and underwear," said cast member Todd Rice. "But getting laughter in bulk is a real deal."
The evening will feature a greeter at the door, a person at the cash register who doesn't care, a scene that is Half-Off, and a Scene from the Bargain Video Bin.
Doors open at 8:45pm for the 9pm show, and 10:45pm for the 11pm show.
Laughing Gas will perform on its normal schedule of 11pm on Friday, March 21 and 28. Admission is $10 and there is no age restriction or drink minimum. Call for reservations, or visit laughinggasimprov.com.
