Shows run about 90 minutes, and each performance reflects the news and events of the week, with titles and content always subject to change. The topics include politics, popular culture, family values, social issues and more in a series of improvised sketches and musical numbers.
Saturday, April 8, the troupe marks the birthday of Texas politician and prominent Republican Thomas Dale DeLay in a special show titled "Justice DeLay'ed."
"Don't get us wrong," said cast member and director for the evening, Todd Rice. "We're not out to just bash Republicans, we'll bash 'em all. Democrats, Republicans, Green Party, Independents, they're all fair game."
Saturday, April 22, Laughing Gas celebrates Earth Day. For this performance, anyone who owns a hybrid car will be admitted free.
"They can save gas and save on the cost of comedy," said director Gerald Owens. "Seems like a win-win to me."
