Laughing Gas Chosen as Best Short Form Improv Troupe in Improv Miami Prizes 2004
The Laughing Gas Comedy Improv Theatre Company was chosen the Best Short Form Improv Troupe at the Improv Miami Prizes 2004. This award, voted on by directors of the improv troupes in South Florida, recognized South Florida's longest running improv troupe for its excellence at short form improv and entertaining their audiences with a consistently funny show.
The Impys, as the prizes are known, were handed out at a performance at the Shores Performing Arts Theater where Laughing Gas also performed.
Laughing Gas was nominated for additional categories, such as Best Sketch Troupe and Best Long Form Improv Troupe.
"We are proud of this award," said Gerald Owens, Director of Laughing Gas. "It's nice to receive recognition from your peers. We've been performing for twelve years and have always provided unique entertainment for our audiences. It's nice to know that the other entertainers of South Florida appreciate our shows as well."
Laughing Gas has just closed their twelfth season, a season that was filled with themed shows, benefits for several charities and shows to provide awareness for political and social issues.
Laughing Gas will begin their thirteenth season on Friday, January 7th at 11pm in Miami Lakes at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street, Miami Lakes. As always, there is no drink minimum and no age restriction to attend. for reservations.
