Laughing Gas Chosen as Miami-Dade's Best Short Form Improv Troupe in Improv Miami Prizes 2005
The Laughing Gas Comedy Improv Theatre Company was chosen the Best Short Form Improv Troupe for Miami-Dade County at the Improv Miami Prizes 2005 on the eve of their ending their 13th season entertaining South Florida audiences. This award, voted on by directors of improv troupes in South Florida, recognized South Florida's longest running improv troupe for its excellence at short form improv and entertaining their audiences with a consistently funny show.
The Impys, as the prizes are known, were handed out last night with Laughing Gas receiving the nod as Best Short Form Improv Troupe for Miami-Dade County. This is the second year in a row that Laughing Gas has been recognized by the Impys.
"We are proud of this award," said Gerald Owens, Director of Laughing Gas. "Recognition from your peers is always appreciated. We're looking forward to carrying this momentum into our 14th Season starting in January."
Laughing Gas is closing their thirteenth season tonight, a season that was filled with themed shows, benefits for several charities and shows to provide awareness for political and social issues. Tonight, Laughing Gas performs their second annual Christmas show, "Twas the night before...the night before...the night before Christmas."
Laughing Gas will begin their 14th season on Friday, January 6th at 11pm in Miami Lakes at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street, Miami Lakes. As always, there is no drink minimum and no age restriction to attend. for reservations.
