Laughing Gas Comedy Improv Theatre Company presents a special weekday performance in celebration of Valentine's Day.
"Couple's Therapy" is set for Tuesday, February 14, 8pm at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street. The show features a couple's therapy session, and Valentine's editions of the troupe's recurring Soap Opera and Mating Game segments.
"Valentine's Day is a special evening to spend with that special someone," said Gerald Owens, director of Laughing Gas. "We're going to cure the rifts between men and women with laughter in a performance that can never be repeated."
Admission is $10 per person, but couples who come to the box office and say they need "Couple's Therapy" will receive two-for-one admission at the door.
"This is our way of trying to help couples over their problems," said cast member Todd Rice. "Most romantic problems start from lack of money, it's our way of stopping problems at their source."
The troupe's weekly shows at the Main Street Playhouse are at 11pm on Friday and Saturday, and admission is $10 per person, with no age restriction and no drink minimum.
Shows run about 90 minutes, and each performance reflects the news and events of the week, with titles and content always subject to change. The topics include politics, popular culture, family values, social issues and more in a series of improvised sketches and musical numbers.
